Summer is a cummin' in and Osmosis trucks on from strength to strength. This month we have a selection of five artistes offering, between them, no less than 19 tracks for your amusement and entertainment.

First off the blocks is established singer and master of smooth Irie J, who treats you to a spot of gentle reggae/sub and some smoochy luurve songs. Then we have two solo musos who thrash their PCs and home recording set-ups on what seems to be a daily basis. The statuesque Trapper promises his first album real soon now, while naSTEe is rolling out tracks so fast he's going to run out of CD-Roms to write them to.

Submatrix, by now old Osmosis favourites, treat us to some more of their tunes as they roll, inexorably, towards more mainstream, national success, while new boys on the Osmosis block, Shapeshifter, mailed their CD all the way from Lancashire. Cool stuff, or what. Just what's needed for hot summer days. Hah!
